Tambi\u00e9n debes considerar\u00a0<strong>lo que<\/strong>\u00a0comes.<\/p>\n<p>Solo necesitas unas 340 a 450 calor\u00edas adicionales por d\u00eda \u2013 y esto es para la etapa m\u00e1s avanzada del embarazo, cuando tu beb\u00e9 crece m\u00e1s r\u00e1pidamente. Estas no son muchas calor\u00edas (una taza de cereales y leche descremada al 2%). Es importante que las calor\u00edas provengan de\u00a0alimentos nutritivos para que puedan contribuir al desarrollo y crecimiento del beb\u00e9.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"kha_11\">Por qu\u00e9 es importante que te alimentes bien cuando est\u00e9s embarazada<\/h3>\n<p>\u00bfAlguna vez te has preguntado c\u00f3mo puede ser razonable ganar de 25 a 35 libras (promedio) durante tu\u00a0embarazo, cuando un beb\u00e9 reci\u00e9n nacido solamente pesa una fracci\u00f3n de esa cantidad? Aunque puede variar de mujer a mujer, a continuaci\u00f3n detallamos como esas libras pueden acumularse:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>7.5 libras \u2013 peso promedio del beb\u00e9<\/li>\n<li>7 libras \u2013 las prote\u00ednas, grasas y otros nutrientes almacenados en el cuerpo de la madre<\/li>\n<li>4 libras \u2013 sangre adicional<\/li>\n<li>4 libras \u2013 l\u00edquidos corporales adicionales<\/li>\n<li>2 libras \u2013 aumento de tama\u00f1o del pecho<\/li>\n<li>2 libras \u2013 aumento de tama\u00f1o del \u00fatero<\/li>\n<li>2 libras \u2013 l\u00edquido amni\u00f3tico que rodea al beb\u00e9<\/li>\n<li>1.5 libras \u2013 la placenta<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"kha_31\">Nutrientes importantes<\/h3>\n<p>Los cient\u00edficos saben que tu dieta puede afectar la salud de tu beb\u00e9 \u2013 incluso antes de quedar embarazada. Por ejemplo, estudios indican que el\u00a0\u00e1cido f\u00f3lico\u00a0ayuda a prevenir que ocurran defectos del tubo neural (incluyendo la espina b\u00edfida) durante las primeras etapas del desarrollo del feto y durante las primeras semanas de embarazo.<\/p>\n<p>Los m\u00e9dicos recomiendan que las mujeres tomen suplementos de \u00e1cido f\u00f3lico antes y durante el embarazo (especialmente durante los primeros 28 d\u00edas). Aseg\u00farate de preguntar a tu\u00a0m\u00e9dico\u00a0sobre el \u00e1cido f\u00f3lico si est\u00e1s considerando quedarte embarazada.<\/p>\n<p>El calcio es otro nutriente importante para las mujeres embarazadas. Debido a que las necesidades de calcio de tu beb\u00e9 en crecimiento son altas, tu deber\u00edas incrementar tu consumo de calcio para prevenir la p\u00e9rdida de calcio de tus huesos. Tu m\u00e9dico\u00a0tambi\u00e9n podr\u00e1 recomendarte vitaminas prenatales las cuales contienen calcio adicional.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"kha_51\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 se debe evitar comer y beber durante el embarazo?<\/h3>\n<p>Como mencionamos anteriormente, evita el alcohol. Ning\u00fan nivel de consumo de\u00a0<a class=\"kh_anchor\">alcohol<\/a>\u00a0est\u00e1 considerado seguro durante el embarazo. Igualmente, consulta con tu m\u00e9dico\u00a0antes de tomar vitaminas o productos basados en hierbas. Algunos de estos productos pueden ser perjudiciales para el feto.<\/p>\n<p>Y aunque muchos m\u00e9dicos\u00a0piensan que una o dos tazas de caf\u00e9 de 6-8 onzas, t\u00e9 o refrescos con cafe\u00edna no le har\u00e1n da\u00f1o a tu beb\u00e9, probablemente sea una medida inteligente evitar la cafe\u00edna completamente, de ser posible. El consumo alto de cafe\u00edna ha sido vinculado a abortos y otros problemas, por ello, es mejor limitar su consumo o cambiarlo por productos descafeinados.<\/p>\n<p>Cuando t\u00fa est\u00e1s embarazada, es importante evitar las enfermedades que se originan en determinados alimentos, como por ejemplo, la listeriosis y la toxoplasmosis, las cuales pueden poner en peligro la vida de un beb\u00e9 que todav\u00eda no ha nacido pudiendo causar defectos de nacimiento o abortos espont\u00e1neos. Las comidas que debes evitar incluyen:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>quesos blandos, sin pasteurizar (descritos en la publicidad como &#8220;frescos&#8221;) como los quesos Feta, de cabra, Brie, Camembert, y el queso azul<\/li>\n<li>leche sin pasteurizar, jugos y vinagre de sidra<\/li>\n<li>huevos crudos o comidas que los contengan, incluyendo los postres tipo mousse y el Tiramisu<\/li>\n<li>carnes, pescados o mariscos crudos o poco cocinados<\/li>\n<li>carnes procesadas como las salchichas y los embutidos (los cuales deben estar bien cocinados)<\/li>\n<li>pescados con alto contenido de mercurio, como el tibur\u00f3n, el pez espada, el merl\u00edn, el at\u00fan y reloj anaranjado<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Comer bien durante el embarazo no solo significa comer m\u00e1s.
